Greenwood Jiu Jitsu Reviews – Part 5: The Fake Review Campaign Continues

If you’ve found this page by searching “Greenwood Jiu Jitsu reviews”, welcome — and thank you for doing your homework.

As you may have seen in Parts 1–4, we’ve been dealing with a strange and ongoing situation involving fake 1-star Google reviews. These aren’t coming from actual students or parents. They’re part of a campaign by one individual who was removed from our school in late 2024 and has since encouraged others — mostly people he’s never met in person — to post false, damaging reviews on his behalf. This shows his typical childish behavior and why he was asked to leave. The Ironic part of all his fake reviews he is complaining about all the stuff he is guilty of doing. Image a club so bad he wrote multiple emails asking to stay.

So, Why Write Part 5?

Because, believe it or not… he’s still at it.

Despite multiple reports to Google, and several of these reviews already being taken down for violating policy, this individual continues to post through new fake accounts or convinces others to do it for him. The accounts are anonymous, the language often copy-pasted, and none of them reflect the reality of what we offer here at Greenwood Jiu Jitsu.

What He Doesn’t Realize: It’s Helping Us

Oddly enough, this fake review campaign has had the opposite effect. Here’s what we’ve seen since this started:

  • Increased website traffic from people Googling “Greenwood Jiu Jitsu reviews”
  • More trial sign-ups and visits from curious parents and students
  • Positive reviews left by real members standing up for us
  • New students who say, “I came in because I saw how you handled those fake reviews professionally”

So while the intent was to damage our reputation, the result has been the opposite — we’ve become more visible, more trusted, and more respected by our local community.

The Truth About Greenwood Jiu Jitsu

If you’re reading this because you’re looking for honest reviews of Greenwood Jiu Jitsu, here’s what you should know:

  • We’re a locally-owned, independent school offering high-level Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and wrestling instruction.
  • Our head coach, Chris Greenwood, is a certified BJJ black belt who has spent decades mastering his craft and helping others grow.
  • We’re the only academy in the area with a top-tier wrestling coach integrated into our program — giving students a rare combination of stand-up and ground skills.
  • Our adult and kids programs are built on discipline, progress, and community — not gimmicks or flashy marketing.

Real Reviews from Real Students

Unlike the fake ones, here’s what actual parents and students have said:

  • “My kids are more focused, confident, and respectful since starting here.”
  • “Coach Chris is the real deal — firm, knowledgeable, and dedicated.”
  • “After trying other gyms, this is the only one that truly delivers on quality.”

Thanks to everyone who supports our Jiu Jitsu School and although this kind of character is 1 in a billon I will remove anyone who isn’t a team player.
