At Greenwood Jiu Jitsu, we’re always looking for ways to improve the training environment for our students. This September, we kicked off a series of upgrades to make the academy even better — starting with the lighting.

Out with the Old, In with the New

For years, our academy had the original fluorescent tube lights. Not only were they outdated, but we also struggled to find proper covers to protect them from breaking. Safety is always a top priority for us, so instead of patching things up, we decided it was time for a full upgrade.

Why LED Lights?

We replaced all of the old fluorescent lights with modern LED lights that are both brighter and safer:

• ✅ Plastic casing means no risk of glass breaking on the mats
• ✅ Energy-efficient – LEDs use less power and last longer
• ✅ Better lighting – brighter mats for training, rolling, and teaching

The result? A safer, cleaner, and more modern look for the gym — and a much better experience for everyone training.
