Nov 8th was the Five Grappling North American Championships in Miami. Two students won the qualifier here in Toronto and got a chance to represent Greenwood Jiu Jitsu. Steve Shipinkas had 3 tough fights and got a silver coming down to a ref’s decision. Christiann Had a rough time missing a connecting fight and arrived late but still with no sleep went on to compete but came up short this time around.

Nov 15th Brent had a super fight at the 1812 grappling event with special rules. First 5 minutes was submission only, second round was points and third would be first take down. Unfortunately in round 2 when the time ran out the score was 1-2 and Brent didn’t win the match but put on a great display of jiu jitsu. Christiann also fought at the Modern Flow Event in Detroit and fought a few beasts and brought home a bronze medal.

3 more events left for the 2015 season The Provincials, Grappling Industries Toronto and Montreal plus Steve Shipinkas has a super fight Dec 13th.
